Jun 25, 2020 · Select Use the following DNS server addresses. If there are any IP addresses listed in the Preferred DNS server or Alternate DNS server, write them down for future reference. Replace those addresses with the IP addresses of the Google DNS servers: For IPv4: 8.8.8.8 and/or 8.8.4.4. For IPv6: 2001:4860:4860::8888 and/or 2001:4860:4860::8844. Click the radio button 'Use the following DNS server addresses:' and type 208.67.222.222 and 208.67.220.220 in the Preferred DNS server and Alternate DNS server fields. Click OK button, then the Close button, then Close again. Finally, close the Network and Sharing Center window. Currently, Controller1 has 192.168.1.1 (itself) set as the Preferred, and nothing set for the alternate. Controller2 has 192.168.1.1 set as the preferred, and 127.0.0.1 as the alternate. This was set up a year ago, by someone who I'm not entirely sure knew what they were doing.
